Hi everyone

This is my first post and I'm looking for some advice on a dryer for my Newfoundland. He's only 4.5 months at the moment but I would like to get him used to being dried at an early age and also aware that I shouldn't be leaving him to air dry.
Please can you recommend a powerful dryer that can cope with this breeds thick coat?
Many thanks
Hi,
I can't recommend because have never used one but our previous house-sitters bought one for their Bernese MD and have left it here. I am happy to give it to you. We are Scottish Borders -east.

Thank you very much Jan. I live in Lincolnshire so unfortunately wouldn't be able to pick up but appreciate the offer.
That's a pity. If any CD folk are passing the Borders and collect and could meet up with you perhaps that could work. Otherwise i hope someone can help.

Aeolus are good and work well for at home jobs and are on the cheap end of the spectrum. You want one with varied heat and power on it.
HUB international based in the UK sell a lot of blasters, worth a call to them to see what they recommend.

I have a great blaster dryer but no clue whether it will deal with your dog's coat. There is a Newfoundland owners facebook group, I guess they would be the best at recommending one, other than that there are various Dog Grooming facebook groups that will be able to advise.
I used to use an aeolus td-901 for my huskies. It was ok and got the job done for many years. I recently upgraded to the pedigroom 2800w on a stand and wish I'd done it years ago! Cut my 1.5hr drying time down to just under an hour.
