Hi all. Just wondered what recipe you use to make the best formula. Having to bottle feed my 2 week old puppy that was born very early. He is doing well, although small, and I have  been feeding Royal Canine Babydog which I got from the vets. This is now getting low and would like to try a homemade version as many have been telling me that puppies do better and gain more weight on this. Suggestions would be welcome.

Personally I would not mess with a puppy formula except in emergency with pre weaning pups.

Formula will have the various nutrients in correct balance.

Mind you at two weeks, if eyes open you could start him lapping puppy porridge/weaning food, as well as formula being mainstay for at least another two weeks.

Just a quick update. Puppy weaned onto solid food really quickly and easily and is now nearly 9 weeks old and full of vitality and a happy little man!
