
I'm so sorry for you but please don't be too disheartened, our last hound lost his sight due to ulcers & most of his hearing for some years.
It was the lack of hearing that caused most problems if any, I'd always imagined (stupidly) that it was like turning the volume down but no it was certain pitches, so sudden sharp sounds came as a surprise & he'd react. He adapted so well & those who didn't know him didn't even realise, dogs cope much better than we would do.
There was little we could do, lubricating drops kept him comfortable, we didn't move any furniture & life when on much as normal.
