I have a 16 months old male (junior ch., hips and eyes ok with breeding license).
A female came to him, when she was on the 9th day of heat. The female was not ready then, she don't want to mate, she was nervy and my male had no serious interesting about her.
They came back yesterday, on the 11th day of heat, the female is better, but don't want to play with my male, only walking around. She is not so flirty, and my male only want to jump on her, when she is flirt with him. If we make the female stay, my male don't want to jump on her, and he not sniff her vulva, only sometimes. Female peed only very rare times, my male sniff it, and signed up with his pee. He is not drool and he has no those big passion.
Yesterday when we let them together, my male is find the right way, but the female roar, and they quarreled...
So my male is grumble when he is jump on her, and we had no successfull mating.
The female is virgin too, 3 years old.
I sent the owners for progesterone testings, cause I don't know is my male is the cause of the failed mating, or the female is not in time...
Any advice please? :(

FWIW, I'd tend not to put a maiden bitch to a maiden male. For the first time it would be far better to choose an experienced male because all too often a novice male will be put off easily by a bitch who is basically unprepared for what's going to happen

Ditto with a maiden male - it's far kinder to have an experienced bitch for his first time. With an experienced male, he'll know when the bitch is right on to be mated so there should be none of that messing around.
MamaBas is totally right. If you have an inexperienced male and his first experience of trying to mate a bitch, is getting told off in a frightening way, he is going to stop attempting to mate. And he may never be able to breed naturally - ever.
That's why it's best for his first experience to be with a proven bitch, who is already known not to be harsh if the timing is wrong and just slips away or avoids him rather than being reactive towards him.
Thank you the answers!
The progesterone testing was done today, and the female is not good yet, she probably have 2-3 days till she will be ready. Maybe it was the cause of the failed matings...
But the owner of the female is told me, that now they search for another male, they don't want to came back to us, cause they think that my male is not good in stud, maybe next time.
I learned about it, we will never ever try with a female who had no progesterone testings before they came.
Even a female with progesterone testing can sometimes protest a lot if it's her first time, Tundermarin. What you need to make sure of for next time, is not so much that the bitch has been progesterone tested, but that she has been bred before and that she wasn't aggressive towards the male....
