Hi this is my first post.
I am with my girl who is a second time mum who has been panting and digging on and off since Saturday but without a break since Yesterday morning.
I have delivered all 10 of our previous whelps with various bitches but never had a girl go this long without pushing.
My gut tells me if no pups by noon to call the vet for assistance.
Have any of you had bitches panting this long without pushing?

The first stage of labour typically lasts 6-36 hours - occasionally as long as 48hrs....

Depends very much on the breed.  With mine, I only allow 40 minutes.  They are so prone to needing C-sections.
