Hello everyone. My name is Steve until three weeks ago I was the proud owner of a beautiful border Terrier. She was my pride and joy but at the age of 14 she died after a battle with cancer.she has left a big hole in all my family’s life. As a family we have decided to have a new border. We would love to get a dog from as close as possible to her family line, after a lot of digging we have found a bitch born 11/2016 have her pedigree name . But crucially no owners details we also know she was slem tested last year. Hopefully this indicates the owners intend to breed from her? Any ideas would be great thanks

Welcome to the forum Steve. Very sorry to hear about your dog.

Do you have your dogs KC registered name, as this will help trace her bloodlines?

Hello. Admin and thanks, yes I have her  Kc registered name . We have done a bit of research into her bloodline and found a bitch who hopefully is going to breed ,but no idea of her location or owners? Any help would be brilliant. Sorry I don’t know the protocol of the searching for her.any good advice from you lovely people would be heaven sent. Once again thank you.

The reason I asked for your dogs name is that it may carry a 'known' affix? If it does, it may be possible to trace the line back to a breeder or others that have carried on those bloodlines. If the dogs name is 'obscure' then it could be impossible to trace anyone with that line. If you can tell us the dogs name, we may be able to help you but unless we know the name then there isn't much we can do. Unless the dog has a well known affix, then it could be like looking for a needle in a haystack.

Only had the time for a quick look but pedigree's that feature both your dogs sire (sires side - Cracking Idea At Redfox) and grandfather (dams side - Marshell Of Eureka Xpinx) feature in pedigree's on Champdogs. I think these would be your best bets for looking for related stock. Maisey Bella will be virtually impossible to trace as the name has no affix and as far as I can see nothing strong affix wise in her pedigree. You would need to get really lucky to find her owner or someone who knows the bitch.

If you use the search facility on Champdogs Home Page you may be able to track active decedents for both the named dogs above.
