Well, we were in a class of 35 and weren’t shortlisted or placed. But we had a lovely day and my girl conducted herself beautifully. She wasn’t fazed by the tannoy, loud music or crowds and she enjoyed lots of attention from passers by. That’ll do for me for my first visit!

Friday was my first time at Crufts, helping out my friend who has Border Collies and got a 2nd in post-grad bitch. :)

I got to meet lots of great dogs at Discover Dogs and learned loads. It’s fun to watch shows but I still think I’m not that interested in trying it myself when I get my own dog.

Talking to dog people is always nice too. I had a good day but I was exhausted by the end of it! ;)

Not the best day for us. Showed 3 dogs in 5 classes, got 3 firsts and 2 seconds. If I was sneaky I could leave it like that and look good lol, but the firsts were all out of one, one second was out of two and one out of  3, so in truth absolute rubbish! !

Yep, that was me! I’m the one hanging around the border collie benches who knows nothing about border collies. ;)

My friends son won BOB with his japanese chin Sharlarnas Magician or Hoshi. You could say he rubbed shoulders with the BIS.

but of course the placings are not to be ashamed of as judges can and do withhold placings.

Like Brainless said, judges can withhold placings even if there is only 1 present if they feel the dog doesn't merit the award

Well I had some good results!

One came 2nd out of a class of 6
The other was 2nd out of a class of 13

But the most important part, we all had a good day and my boys were loving all the attention off the public and the extra sausages off all the little kids that wanted to say hello they definitely did me and their breed proud!
