Hi just wandering will a bitch stand and have 2 good ties 48hrs apart if she wasnt at the right time in her season ,she is a very clean dog  and very hard to time her .

A bitch will often flag and flirt when she's not quite ready, but not usually allow a normal mating; the fact that she did this suggests that she (and the stud dog) thought she was ready!

And some bitches will flag like mad one end, and say something different at the other end!   Always remember that sperm should be viable for some days after a mating too.

Belldotty if it's not successful, do know that if you learn how to do your own vaginal cytology you will be able to tell if a bitch is 1) in season and then, within her season, whether she is 2) in pre-estrus, estrus or diestrus.  Ovulation occurs during estrus.  Whilst cytology doesn't tell us exactly when ovulation is, it does tell us when estrus is - so it tells us a lot more about where we are in the cycle than just watching any discharge does.  Once you know a bitch is in estrus via cytology, you can either guess where to place your breedings within that frame or you can do progesterone during estrus.
