I’ve just adopted a chinese crested hairy hairless dog and he has lots of black heads. What kind of skin care should he have?

If you can, other than your vet, why not contact the relevant Breed Club and see if somebody in the breed can give you experienced answers re skin care.

You really need to squeeze those blackheads, I had a syringe type device for my cresteds that sooked out the black head, look in any human skin care range. Once you've removed them a weekly bath with gentle shampoo and baby oil will stop them coming back.

A lady I know has one, and maintenance of his skin seems to be a constant job !
Yes, she squeezes his blackheads and he needs a weekly bath and moisturise.
He has problems with itching so she is careful of his diet.
Sometimes she leaves his body hair to grow, other times she shaves him.
Also, he's quite sensitive to extreme temperatures so he isn't allowed to sunbathe too much, and he has some cotton 'babygros' for the winter.
