I have a akita male hes 1 and half years old and seems to be throwing up quite alot. It doesn’t matter what food i give him it doesn’t make an exemption he will still throw up. Its not everyday this happenes but maybe twice a week. The last insident was today i fed him normal dry dog food and he ended up throwing it all up in the garden at first I didn’t realise therefore fed him some bones, witch he also throw up. He always has a big appetite and is not fussy about the food i feed him. Am not sure what am supposed to do as there is nothing els wrong wih him hes a very clever lazy but playful dog.

Maybe something like acid reflux but I would have a vet  check as if this keeps happening there is something a miss.
also at least until u know what the problem is I wouldnt be feeding raw bones unless he is a raw fed dogs which it doesn't sound like.
I feed raw myself and wouldn't do anything else so it's not because I dont like raw feeding Ive said this btw

I am thinking it might be to do with him eating in large amounts but am not sure. I have noticed that when he drinks water he will suddenly start coughing and sometimes even vomits. I have been vets reasently and they said hes very health and a good size and shape so am not sure

I had a dog that would vomit if he had a cold drink when he was warm after coming in from a walk, awkward if he found a river when on a walk as he would have a good drink then promptly throw it all back up a again.
The only thing we could do was not to let him drink a vast quantity all at once and warm the water so it wasn’t a sudden cold dollop onto his stomach.
I don’t know whether this is a similar thing, but try giving him warm water and see if there is any difference

Have u told.them all.this ? Checked his throat ? Something isn't right if he is vomitting often even if he looks and acts healthy  I would.try the splitting his food and see if that helps also.using a slow bowl or something to make sure he doesn't gulp may be useful

If a slow bowl doesn't slow him down try putting it in a kong or hand feed him.
Is he throwing up or regurgitating? Very different and could explain things further for the vet.
