Can anybody tell me whether this is still going on in those breeds said to be 'at risk', ie my own, the Basset.   I've not seen much about this of late (dogs being disqualified).

Surely Basset Hounds are Category 2 not Category 3 so no compulsory vet checks wef 1st January 2017

I need to know whether these vet checks are still operating.   Not just with my main breed.   Thanks.   Link to the relevant KC site?

Obviously they are still ongoing as the KC rules are still current. Your post stated "i.e.( that is )....Basset Hound" inferring you wanted information regarding Bassets

No Basset will be disqualified because they are Category 2. Perhaps the health problems of the breeds that are still Category 3 are being actively improved & judges judging to the breed standard ??
