With great sadness I have had to put down Brendan, a Sacul bouv, after 15 great years. I would really like to replace him to keep our other Bouv, 5 years old, company. Ideally I would like a cross that my mum had, Bouv and Irish Wolfhound. She was a fabulous dog and the temperment and physiques of the two breeds are absolutely complementary. this is a companion dog, not for showing, but for great runs on the South downs and south coast beaches.
any help out there
TIA
Matthew

The big problem with crossbreeds is that the outcome is not set in stone :) Whilst the cross that your mum had was lucky enough to have good characteristics of BOTH breeds , it could easily of produced the bad ones of each breed....and you could end up with trouble.

Why not get either an Irish Wolfhound OR another Bouvier? At least then you can be pretty sure that you will get what you want
