Can anyone advise me of the best way to get an adult dog from Slovakia into the UK? I presume that flying would be the best or indeed the only option so could any of you please recommend a travel company/ courier. I really have no experience of this and any help or advice would be very much appreciated.  Thank you.

This company was used when we imported a hound from the UK to Canada.   No problems.  Thinking about it, I seem to remember our foundation b itch came via them too, but it was back in the late '70s, so memorary fails somewhat!

Personally if you can go see the dog you are importing, that would be best, unless you have a contact there who can go look at the dog for you, knowing what you want!  That's what I did with my foundation bitch.

I think it's probably best to take a long road trip and go via the Chunnel.... and far less stressful for the dog.
