Bare with me for I feel this will be a long winded post....
I’m rather confused about the new licensing laws that will come in on Monday.
I’m aware that you can breed up to 3 litters per year, ok fine no license needed.... but if you sell just one of those puppies then you are a commercial breeder and need a license?!? So breeders are supposed to give them away?!? I think not!!
After now being classed as a “business”, you now need all the relevant business insurances, a commercial waste bin and need to apply for planning permission to change your home into a commercial property.
And say the council or whoever refuse a license, what then happens to a breeders mum + pups?!?
Am I the only person who is rather perplexed by these new “laws” and feels that they are only there to put a bit extra in the pocket of the government??? It does absolutely nothing to address the welfare of an animal!!!
