Topic Dog Boards / Showing / Small cheap trophy cups?
- By LucyDogs [gb] Date 06.08.18 06:45 UTC
Hi, my choir is thinking of doing a very small fun dog show next year, and I wondered if anyone had recommendations for really small (cheap!) trophy cups we could have for the winner of each class, I've seen little mini cups at shows on occasion. But I'm struggling on Ebay to find anything cheap enough that I could justify the spending!

Have you looked on Amazon there’s lots on there. I just searched ‘small trophies’

Not actual cups but years back we used to do an exemption show and had trophies for all winners - about 20 classes - and used this catalogue.

Diss Trophies, a lot are specific sports but they also do generic ones and have a badge with a paw print that can be put on each one. They are on P94 onwards, smallest seem to be just under £5.

Some of the Obedience clubs give medals for class winners. Cheaper than cups, and they look really smart in their presentation boxes.

Brilliant idea - and what's more, they don't need CLEANING

I found these but wondered if they were a little TOO cheap ie would they look tacky :-D https://www.amazon.co.uk/Trophies-Party-Fillers-Prizes-Games/dp/B009HOV0PE/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1533550155&sr=8-2&keywords=small+trophies

Something much easier to come by & goes down really well is gift ie ball, treats, raggy toy. I judged recently at a companion show & there was a bag of 5 prizes, done on a lucky dip for each of the 5 placed in the class. So those who went in more than one class & were placed could accumulate quite a haul. These kinds of items can be gleaned from local pet stores sometimes if your lucky for free or reduced if you can twist an arm

Just had a thought, I have a load of sets of rosettes - plain apart from 1st, 2nd etc if they are any good to you. The centres may need a dab of glue to stick them back firmly.

That's kind of you tatty-ead but I have bags and bags myself, just got rid of a huge bag and donated a bunch to our photo comp and still have loads! But thanks

... and don't take as much room to display!

My partner is organising a sporting comp just now and found the trophy suppliers online to be cheaper than eBay or amazon.  He used trophies plusmedals.co.uk (with no spaces) and found them to be excellent.  The very cheap stuff is plastic tat but that is the same for most places.  Try code thankyou5 to get 5% off the cost of the order and all engraving is done for free.
