Who do people recommend as a repro vet?
For things like investigating fertility issues, short cycles, AI, semen storage and all the rest of the repro vet stuff.... ?

Uk clone near Gatwick airport

Have seen both Keith at fit and fertile in Preston and Karen at millhouse in bridgend. Both nice and helpful.
I will be getting my boy collected and frozen by fit and fertile at some point in the future, they seem to have the better price for this I've seen offered at other places I've looked.
Great, thanks. This is for a dog I bred who has very short cycles (every 2.5-3 months) and I wanted to give her owner a recommendation for a repro vet to see. Her own vet is saying there is nothing wrong but hasn't run any tests.

I've taken my boy for collection to Angelika at Vet Repro Services in Hertfordshire - very knowledgeable and helpful.

One of my girls had short cycles of 4 to 5 months, she was every 6 months until i tried to mate her and then went down to short times in between. Spoke to a repro vet and he said if they are less than 5 months then generally you won't get them pregnant.
My own dog had cycles of 4.5 months and got pregnant easily first attempt at 2yo. It's under 4 months that it's considered really abnormal. So 2.5 to 3 months really is too close.

I finally got mine pregnant with 4.5months gap too. It took a lot of effort and attempts.
Defo get them to visit a repro vet

This often means they are not ovulating or are in fact having a split heat, or hormone levels are too low the first tine and they start again..
