Topic Dog Boards / Breeding / Safe tick treatment during pregnancy

Hi all,

I am planning on getting one of my bitches mated next week. I have always been against chemical treatment during pregnancy but due to living in the middle of a wood infested with ticks I need to find the safest spot on treatment for her to use during pregnancy.
All natural options are not the answer due to the quantity we have here. I have been using easidrop from hyper drug which has been fantastic at preventing them getting covered but cannot find any safety data regarding in whelp bitches.

Frontline is useless after two week so looking for the safest alternative. We have ten dogs and a toddler so checking them over after each walk is impossible.

Thankyou for any suggestions

Frontline Spray is supposed to be safe.

I live in a similar area and have just discovered, much to my horror, that easidrop is no longer being manufactured. I ended up phoning Hyperdrug as I couldn't get in on-line. It was excellent at stopping ticks. Sorry I cannot advise with the pregnancy part but thought you might like to know.
