I'd like to know how-come they ended up so far into the caves? Perhaps to escape rising water - but why not turn round and come out or was their way out blocked by then?
Underground water can rise really quickly and with the amount of rain that occurs in the monsoon it would be very fast. And of course you don't know it's raining when underground. Having said that the coach must have known it was monsoon season. I don't know whether the coach should be pilloried for taking them in, in the first place or praised for keeping them together and safe till they were rescued. The main thing is that everyone gets out safely.
They have got another four boys out today. Five left to go, four boys and the coach Will be starting again tomorrow, oxygen tanks need to be replenished in the areas of the cave that are not underwater. Much of the way through the caves is underwater which must be very traumatic for the boys. It takes about five hours for experienced divers to get from the start to where the boys are. Hope they will all get out
If the rescuers have anything to do with it they will all be rescued. Such very brave people. Going into caves is highly dangerous especially if they are in an area subject to heavy rainfall & impervious rock
11 boys now out, just the youngest one to come I believe, and the coach too of course along with the divers and Doctor who stayed with the boys all this time. Lets hope by this evening they are all out safe. The rescuers are true heroes in my book.
Wonderful all of the children and coach came out safely! So very sad a diver died trying to rescue the team. The rescuers/divers should all be honored for there bravery.
