I have been enjoying it and when England play i go to my parents house to watch I'm at there house now watching Brazil Vs Belgium.:yell:. We always have a BBQ when England play, looking forward to the match tomorrow:lol:

Yes and loving it. Love the VAR, made a massive difference.

As for  tonights match, brilliant.. the pure talent from the Belgium team has me engrossed

I am just in shock that Brazil is not in the lead and through the the first half could not believe they had not scored:eek:

Have you seen , Marcus the mystic pig on this morning, he's been right so far about his predictions on England and predicted that England will win tomorrow.
- By JennaK Date 06.07.18 19:46 UTC
My dad keeps singing footballs coming home:wink:, he's convinced were gonna win, my 3yr old nephew has even made his own flag and takes it everywhere as he thinks it brings them good luck:smile:
- By JennaK Date 06.07.18 20:01 UTC
So far this has been a world cup of shocks, i can not believe Brazil are out, Belgium were really good and on form tonight if hope if we do get through to the final and if Belgium is through i hope we could be Belgium.

Imagine that the final Belgium Vs England

HECK NO!!   I can't get away from all this nonsense fast enough.  That God for Wimbledon and the British GP this weekend.

Why does this game reduce people to raving idiots?

"My dad keeps singing footballs coming home"     If that was going on here, I'd throttle him

Usually I don't like football, however I have been watching England playing in the world cup, and will be watching it today hoping we win.
My younger dog disappears upstairs when the football's on, so I guess she clearly is not a fan!

That God for Wimbledon

I would sooner watch paint dry - at least it's quieter. What on earth is all that grunting and other noises about and going by bits on the news I think the women are worse than the men
- By MamaBas [gb] Date 07.07.18 09:57 UTC Edited 07.07.18 09:59 UTC
I tend to agree re all the noise going on at Wimbledon these days - I don't watch much womens' tennis unless they can managed to hit a stroke without screaming.   And even the men are noisy now too - Nadal for one.   I still much prefer watching tennis to football!!

I'd hoped that at least this place would have stayed a football-free zone.

Error - that should, of course, have been ThanK God for Wimbledon

Is nowhere safe to get away from it?

Clearly not.   I actually turned off the morning news programme today - if only to get away from 'football's coming home'

Hopefully if England loses the next match, sanity will return.

Generally I don't 'do' football but a few of the team are local boys and I know one personally. So I'll watch, through my fingers, to support them.
- By JennaK Date 07.07.18 11:27 UTC
I don't normally watch football either but since it's England and there representing our country.

I love Wimbledon too my favourite player is Nadal , i met him once and he was a true gentleman and we both have one thing in common , OCD:wink:

I don't do any sport apart from t20 cricket and American wrestling....

Today, I have only the four terrestrial channels working. Wimbledon on BBC 1&2, football on 3 and grand prix on 4.....

Add this stupid heat wave on top... Hibernation it is.

Roll on September!

I'm in heaven. Love watching sport on tv so have watched all 4 today, love the heat so spent it reading a book in the pool all morning.
Now waiting for it to cool down to walk the dogs if it cools down enough

At least they have stopped banging on about BREXIT for five minutes

Nah, they're probably using the distraction to slide something deeply unpleasant through!
- By JennaK Date 10.07.18 18:08 UTC
Well I enjoyed the tennis yesterday watching Nadal and so happy he won I would love it if the final was Nadal Vs Federer again like it was 10yrs ago:grin: the only problem would be if England were in the final of the world cup the two will clash and I won't know which to watch:confused:

Watching Belgium Vs France at the moment ,

Me too although I couldn't resist dropping into the match during the switching end breaks.   Unlike the Feds v. Anderson match, which I felt was rather sad and unexpected, Nadal v Delpo was excellent tennis.   Vamos Rafa.

So you won't have to make the decision re which to watch.
- By Goldenfrenzy [gb] Date 12.07.18 17:50 UTC
Bet your dad isnt singing any more Jenna. Lol
- By suejaw Date 12.07.18 20:43 UTC
Shame Federer lost, love him.

Nadal v Del Poitro was an amazing match. Im not a Nadal fan but he was brilliant.

Im hoping Novak does well.

Serena is amazing considering she hasnt long been back om the circuit.

Oh yes thank God I don't have to choose ( I would have probably picked Nadal) I actually hate football never normally watch it but for some reason I got hooked , won't be watching it now England are out. So I get a four year break from football:wink:, were as I have been a Nadal fan since forever and watched him win the French open.

My dad definitely is not singing now ( thank you lord:lol:) he was rather grumpy yesterday:lol:

I was in shock Federer was out I was so hoping for a re match of Nadal Vs Federer , my dad actually says it my fault England lost as I betrayed them as I didn't watch there semi final match as I choose Nadal instead it was too intense and I could not leave the match without knowing if Nadal made it as when the football started my heart sank when Nadal was 1 set and del potro 2 sets I was like no please not Federer and Nadal in one day. Then Nadal turned it round and won my dad said well Nadal has  won then to the rest of the family as they could hear me upstairs cheering I go crazy when Nadal wins:red::wink:, I loved the bit were Nadal ended up joining the crowed when he could not stop himself from running so he jumped in the crowed instead , I said to my sister that is one lucky woman:wink:

Can't wait for today's match Novak Vs Nadal, I think it will be a 5 set match again. I'm obviously hoping Nadal wins as he's my favourite player. I'd like it if he could win Wimbledon at least once more before he retires.

Serena was good yesterday and I think she'll win again this year.

Everyone seems to be forgetting they are still playing Belgium tomorrow (at 3pm I belive) for the Bronze medal.

Hope they can beat them as they lost to them in the early rounds.
