Hi
so we left our dogs for the first time in years, decades in fact, thing is even after three weeks of us getting her home she still has no bark, just a whisper, took to vets the day we got home as she had a sore on her mouth needed looking at, and was told is normal after kennels,
But it is nearly three weeks now, we rang the vets last week and they still said it fairly standard..... she seems not too bad in herself and has been enjoying the honey lemon mix I have been giving her,
It a shame as she also had a few doggy daycare sessions at the kennels and the photos of them all playing eased our mind whilst we away, just wondered if anyone else’s hooarsness lasted as long(has no cough)
But I taking her tomoz to be on the safe side, she has other unrealated odd issues which I ll start a new thread tomorrow
Thanks

Whenever my sister took her dog to kennels, she'd come back hoarse but it usually only lasted for a few days, at most.

I'd get a second opinion.  I can understand a little hoarseness - a lot of barking, maybe there was a bit of kennel cough going round - but not three weeks.

Hi thanks for that
We took her to the vet Friday evening who took a very cursory glance and diagnosed a inflamed voice box, but didn’t give a course of bios and/or a normal anti inflammatory,
But high dose of Prednisolone  5mg x4 twice a day
