Some of you may recall that I wrote in not all that long ago about the bleeding that my freshly-mated female was having.  It started on the 18th day after she was mated the first time and lasted about a week.  Well, last night she brought 4 beautiful puppies into the world!  So she didn't lose them at 18 days (as I had feared might be happening), the day (more or less) when the embryos attach themselves to the uterine wall.  In case anyone else should experience this with their own female, take heart.  It needn't spell disaster.  :-))
