has anyone any knowledge of this?its been suggested it might be helpful to my 6 year old collie who has a shoulder problem, xrays show a blunt pointed end on one of the,(if that makes sense)bones at the joint, that should
be rounded like the other one,on the same bone there is also two roughened areas.these xrays follow on from the ones 6 months ago, where nothing conclusive was found to explain her limp, currently she is on rest, painkillers and anti inflammatories, also a diet as shes glopped on two kilos she needs to lose.the prp was suggested as a future treatment if needed.ive read up and would be keen to try it,the problem is,of course, money.im willing to save up,the x rays cleared my savings, though,so it will be a while-hence,does anyone have a rough idea how much this is per injection? thankyou

Rioja had this done by Ian Mcqueen in Devizes and it was very successful. However we lost her 6 months later to cancer, but I felt it helped her a lot. She had bouts of intermittent lameness on her right but her elbows were both bad. She had both done. I cannot remember how much it was but her insurance paid the major part. If I am correct it was under £1000 for everything including xrays and sedation.

One for Noel???    I was interested to note in a programme the other evening that a couple with a dog who needed all kinds of surgery but only part of which was covered by insurance, being helped by one of Noel's anon. donors who was willing to foot the remainder of the bill for this dog to be sorted out.
