My friend just phoned to ask me the same thing I wasn't watching so don't know. I hope it wasn't anything nasty

From what I've seen elsewhere it was some sort of protest. Sure we will get the proper story in time.

Statement regarding incident at Crufts 2018:

A spokesperson from Crufts, said:

“It appears that protestors from PETA gained unauthorised access to the ring in the main arena at Crufts, and in doing so scared the dogs and put the safety of both dogs and people at risk in a hugely irresponsible way. Our main priority at the moment is the wellbeing of the dogs that were in the ring, who are being looked after by their owners and show officials. The NEC Group have extensive security procedures in place at Crufts and we, along with the NEC Group, will be reviewing what happened as a matter of urgency.”

Something happened I was recording it and went back again to look the sound went and someone ran out definitely look at what the whippet owner did with her dog lifting it off the platform and turning away with her body between them and her dog

On their Twitter page they are taking quite a hammering. Lots of people saying theywill withdraw support

Good. IMO Crufts is a 'soft' target with maximum publicity. Why do we never hear about them tackling some of the horrendous puppy farms? That's not exactly the 'ethical treatment of animals'

Yep PETA, or a couple purporting to be to do with them, 'invaded the pitch'.   That super Whippet's owner grabbed her off the table, and if you look at some of the vids., 'exited stage left'.   Getting her right out of the way.   GOOD FOR HER!  But the poor bitch had been upset by what was going on.   Noted that the officials removed the trophies as fast as Tease was removed!  I felt soooo sad for her owner to have to cope with what should have been THE occasion of her showing career to date.    I thought she stood as good a chance yesterday as any - judge having Beagles and Whippets!   Not that this should have been possible, at least the two were grabbed fast.   But it was such an anti-climax for the TV programme's end.   Sitting there saying WOT???

PETA are treated as a terrorist group in the USA & for good reason. Their so called rescuing of  pet animals results in most being killed by their operatives shortly after they take possession of the pet. They are a fanatical Vegan group who believe the NO animal should live with humans & that all animals should live wild. In the USA They have stolen show dogs & dumped them in the middle of nowhere & left to nature to survive. Horrendous.
They only attack IAMS because they are owned by Procter & Gamble who PETA hate

Any group of extremists are dangerous and this lot are no different .they had an article published in the independent damming pedigrees .biased  was one word  for it but there must be some stronger ones .. and no not a publication I usually read just perchance lol
