Hello,

(Please ignore my ignorance when it comes to my questions below, my knowledge with certain dog breeds are not the best)

I'm looking to find a dog which I think is named as a toy poodle/miniature poodle. When I research into it, a lot of names come up and I don't know the right name.

I was wondering if someone could advise me on the correct breed/name.

I have a photo of the breed, but have no idea how to add it here on the forum. So if anyone knows about poodles, please could you message me and hopefully i'll be able to send a photo of the dog I'm looking for. Or hopefully that link works below. It's an image off of Google.

Thank you

In the UK three sizes of Poodle are recognised:

Standard Poodle,
Size - Poodles (Standard): over 38 cms (15 ins).

Minature Poodle
Size - Poodles (Miniature): height at shoulder should be under 38 cms (15 ins) but not under 28 cms (11 ins).

Toy Poodle.
Size - Poodles (Toy): height at shoulder should be under 28 cms (11 ins).

In Europe they are divided into 4 sizes.

SIZE  AND  WEIGHT
:
The  sexual  dimorphism  must  be  clearly visible in all varieties.

Standard  Poodles: Over  45  cm  up  to  60  cm  with  a  tolerance  of  +2 cm. The Standard Poodle must be the enlarged and developed replica of the Medium Poodle of which it retains the same characteristics.

Medium Poodles: Over 35 cm up to 45 cm.

Miniature  Poodles:  Over  28  cm  up  to  35  cm.  The  Miniature  Poodle must display the appearance of a reduced Medium Poodle, retaining as much as possible the same proportions and without presenting any sign of dwarfism.

Toy  Poodles:    Over  24  cm  (with  a  tolerance  of  -1cm)   up  to  28  cm (sought  after  ideal:  25  cm).  The  Toy  Poodle  maintains,  in  its ensemble,  the  aspect  of  a  Miniature  Poodle  and  the same  general
proportions complying with all the points of the standard.

Yes, toy poodle, but as a groomer I'd caution it takes a lot of work and daily care from the owner to keep a poodle in a fluffy clip like that.

Its a toy poodle.

A word of warning - look up more pictures. I have two standard poodles and they look that good (ha, not even that good because I'm amateur) for approximately 20 minutes a fortnight, immediately after I groom them.
