how do you know what kind of food your pet needs?, and do diffrent dogs like diffrent foods?

Usually you either feed them because of their age, i e they are puppies so need a diet for growth, or older dogs sometimes need a lower protein diet. Dogs that have a lot of exersise would usually have a higher protein than a dog that lies around all day. If you buy a puppy its usual to take the breeders advice. Otherwise an adult dog with normal needs can be fed a good quality maintenance complete diet or BARF ( Bones and Raw Food) or meat and mixer. Some will prefer one food to another, but usually the owner chooses the food and the dog just eats it! :-)
