Hello I need some help I've read up all about breeding and pregnancy and so confused I have a 2 year old female and she came in season on the 26th of December and wasnt alouding my male to mate with her so on the 2nd of January she started standing and lifting her tail for him and I though they had mated but never got tied just stuck a bit for about 2 mins and since then the mated about 7 times where the whole of him had come out and been inside her but she on day 15 and still bleeding and mating with him is there any chance she could be pregnant as they r not getting tied and you know he gone all the way in am confused and don't know where to go from here many thanks

Ok, every bitch is different but she would not have been ready to mate from the first day of season...you have been wasting him by trying to get them to mate this soon!
Most that don't do testing for ovulation, wait until around day 12-15.
You do not need a tie for a pregnancy to occur & there is no way of knowing this soon, she hasn't finished her season yet!!

I would seriously suggest that you try to find someone with experience of breeding to help you if your bitch has puppies, there really is no substitute for having done it before and things very often don't happen as the books say.  Vets don't generally see normal whelping so some of them are not much help unless your bitch needs a c-section, I would suggest you get everything ready a few weeks before she is due and do a bit more research.

If you can't get anyone to help mentor you, The Book of the Bitch is a really good book to have handy and read before the pups arrive.  Hope everything goes well for you.

never got tied just stuck a bit for about 2 mins

If they were stuck for 2 minutes you had a tie. They don't all last a long time and I had a litter born after a one minute tie. Plus you can end up with a pregnancy after slipmatings eg. no tie.
