First if all I would like to Hello after just joining. I wonder if anyone can help me. I am having problems finding a Groomer for my Golden Retriever puppy Louis he is 9 months old
and has qualified for Crufts 2018. I live in Dursley Gloucestershire every Groomer I have contacted have refused politely as I am Showing him. This is the first dog I have owned with a coat previously owning Weimaraners and Bracco Italiano's. Any advice most welcome. Many thanks Marilyn

I've used the pets4home groomer at the Cirencester branch who I feel has done a nice job of just tidying up my golden, I dont show though so you may have a particular way that yours needs to be trimmed.

Just had a bit of inspiration.
A bit of a distance from you and I'm not sure if she is still there let alone anything else. I met this lady about five years ago when I was looking for a golden puppy. She is a breeder and shows her goldens and is also a dog groomer. If it is too far for you she may be able to recommend someone closer

Details below from the Champdogs website.

I would strongly recommend you go to a groomer who knows exactly how to present a show Golden Retriever..most groomers would not know how to do this as they would be trained for the pet market...I have a friend who regularly shows her Goldies & is a groomer. I will pm you with more info...

Are you able to take him back to your breeder - or talk to her, she may know someone nearby you who can help

If there are any other Goldie owners who live near you and show then you could ask for their help, they will be able to recommend someone or if they do theirs themselves then they may offer you their assistance.
