I am an experienced breeder but only recently been using raw food which is made up for you as I find it easier.
I have a 2 week old singleton pup and wondered whether it was Ok to start with some of the puppy version.I was think of just a bit on the finger.
He is a medium breed and Mum is already showing signs of getting a bit fed up with him although she does still was him and feed at times.

Personally I'd wait.   When we started weaning, after the goats milk introduction stage, we'd move on to the porridge-like mix and at that point, offer just a tiny amount of raw lean mince, about as much as would cover a thumbnail ONCE a day.   The little babies would inhale it and the temptation was to give more but as their digestive systems are so 'young' we didn't.   Only later was this included in more than one meal a day.  At 2 weeks, most of the nourishment should still be coming from mum - but don't force her to stay in there with him unless he's feeding.

Does the pup have teeth yet because I'd suggest that is a clue to whether he could deal with meat.   I've had two 'singleton' puppies - the first being 2 but one DOA.  It's hard to see them left alone in the nest when mum really doesn't want, or need, to be in there 24/7 and with mine, I put a stuffed sock in there for them to lie against - and later on tended to carry them around with me = one spoilt puppy!!

I am a raw feeder with a large breed and have always fed baby puppies raw from the start. We generally start at around 3 weeks with a small amount of raw (Pre-frozen then thawed) lean minced beef, just a taste on my finger to begin. Then increase over a week till they are taking a golf ball sized ball 4 times a day. Then i start to feed the complete minces, all sorts of varieties, Chicken and beef, chicken and tripe, lamb and tripe etc.. As long as you are purchasing complete minces you should have no problem with ratio's. I begin to introduce some bones around 6 weeks with cut up chicken neck or feet but that's because I do feed a huge variety. (pups had Duck neck and kangaroo chunks this morning !) I don't give milk as once Mum stops providing it they really do not need it. I do however give some good quality complete kibble from about 6 weeks as not everyone wishes to feed raw so I like to make sure they have an alternative from the start.

Thank you for all your advice I will wait until he is 3 weeks.
Whilst we do not particularly want to we are topping him up with a bottle as concerned he is not getting enough fluid.
If he does not want it fine but sometimes he has been crying ( or perhaps I should say moaning)and is happier after some milk.
He is a fat little thing and yes we are very worried that he will be spoilt as not the sort of breed where that is helpful to him or us in the future!
