On the champdogs pages, are all the litters shown for any KC registered litters?  Or can breeders request the removal of them?  I don't want to btw, just noticed a missing litter.

It is down to the person as to whether they wish to advertise their litter on Champdogs, they may not have wanted to advertise a litter, so would not have included it on Champdogs.

I thought they came up automatically!  I just wondered why some showed and some didn't, and why they might be removed.  Possibly someone having a clear out of old info.

Do you know they have been removed, how can you tell? As a breeder I do not have to advertise a litter on Champdogs...it is not automatic.

Because I remember seeing the litter details, and, as I'm just about to have a litter, I've been looking again at similar litters and trying to see how pup turned out, what they're up to now, and a litter I'd noticed had disappeared.

The breeder can pull the advert on here at any time. So if the litter has been sold or reserved they may not want further enquiries or if the litter have all gone to new homes no point in having the advert up.

Breeders can mark a litter as all sold but the litter remains in situ on their account. It is one way we guard against puppy farms and commercial breeders whom try to 'hide' how many litters they have. Litters are not removed without a very good reason:

Terms and Conditions of Use:

Once a litter has been added to Champdogs, it may only be removed under exceptional circumstances, eg. for a phantom pregnancy. If this occurs please email admin as soon as possible.

Ah I thought breeders could remove the advert at any time. Sorry

No problem Sue. We rarely remove a litter entry but sadly, at times things do go wrong. A bitch may die in whelp or her litter is born dead or die shortly after whelping. All very sad, but it does happen from time to time.

When I go to my account and look at the list of my litters there's the option to delete ones listed up to and including 2012, so it seems previous litters can be deleted without contacting admin.

Litters can be removed from public view after 5 years.
