Advice /suggestions please
Zuma has just started going to treadmill hydrotherapy sessions and I am looking for a coat to help dry him off to go home in the car.
It is mainly for his sides, tummy and round bum area ( he sits down while it is emptying  .
I don't want/can't afford to spend a lot so anyone got any reccommendations please?
He wouldn't cope with anything with legs on it

Perhaps - although the dog pictures doesn't seem very impressed

There are others, but they don't appear to be very cheap ....... I came across some in my search for a rain coat for my Basset.

I have just ordered one from a lady on Facebook, if you search for Kozi dog you should find her and scroll down a bit to find pictures of the drying coats. I've had cooling collars from her in the summer and they are good quality. Prices vary by size but to give you an idea I am paying £18 for my show cocker who is about 40cm back length.

Mine should be here in the next week or so, happy to give more detailed feedback once it's arrived

There's also another Facebook page called drying coats for spaniels - she does all breeds but donates £5 from each coat sold to Spaniel Aid UK hence the name. However it looks like she's had a big run of orders since the Spaniel Aid Facebook page tagged her, and so there might be a bit of a wait. I think they're about £20

Cheaper option on zooplus is more like a towel with a collar for £4.99 I think it was? Just goes over the back and sides though, not under the belly. Had one delivered last week but not actually used it after a bath yet so not sure how decent it is.

These towels are the best I've come across for absorbing moisture. The coat is almost dry after a rub. You could make something yourself out of them if you're that way inclined.

Thanks for the suggestions, Problem is now solved......

I have a couple of Aquamat microfibre dog towels (similar to those zooplus ones) which are great for initial drying,
I remembered that I had bought a coat similar to a horse 'new-zealand' for 1st Shepherd about 25 yrs ago and while looking for that to use as a stop-gap I found a weatherbetta dog version of a stable rug that daughter had for her Rott when she got old.

It just about fits Zuma and its FREE !!!. Its a lilacy purple so not really his colour but who cares. I put it on him after his session yesterday after towelling him, left it on for about 1/4 hr when we got home and it got a load more wet out of his coat.
I'm glad I'm a bit of a hoarder
