Hi everyone

I am still looking for someone to look in on my 6 month old puppy during the day, but if you have any other suggestions they would be most welcomed.

Have any of you ever come across or owned a hermaphrodite dog. I have heard its quite a common occurence in some breeds of dog although I have never heard of it until quite recently.

Does anyone know anything about hermaphroditism and how it affects dogs if at all?

Guess you only need the one dog to be a breeder :D

All the books I have consider hermaphroditism as a rare condition....the puppies usually resemble bitches rather than dogs, and their problems don't become apparent until they reach puberty. In which breeds have you heard of it being quite common? :)

when i worked in the kennels there were to blue roan cockers out of the same littler with this. From the outside they appeared to be bitches but werent. They were very sweet though.

I used to groom a cocker which was a Hermaphrodite. Heard of an american cocker puppy that was one also!

Apparently its common in american cocker spaniels? They do not have problems as such just the fact that they are a bit of both .......if yu see what I mean!!!
