I've heard a few people mention that they are lucky enough to take their dog to work with them. I was wondering, what sort of work you do? Do you all own your own companies??? How do you manage the dog being with you all day? And finally, what is the youngest you have started taking them with you?
More for my own curiosity really :)
Thanks,
Sarah

I used to take my Dobe to work at one time. I was a sales administrator in a portacabin, the only other person i worked with was the rep so he was never there. I started taking her to work at 8 weeks old, she used to lay in front of the electric heater chewing her chews and playing with her toys or curled up on my lap whilst I was going about my daily business. It was great :-) I loved having her there and it meant we bonded a lot closer. Unfortunately I got made redundant and had to move on :-( and have never been in a position to take a dog to work again. But there is an office dog (belongs to the boss) called Charlie where I work at the moment who is a 14 year old poodle cross and everyone loves her it just adds something nice to the day when she decides to visit our room.

I think animals make the workplace a much nicer place to be :-) even if its just a goldfish :D

When I was at school back in the late sixties :) our headmistress had two young cocker spaniels. We would queue up at her office at break/lunch time to take them for walks :)

I would love to take pup to work but working in pharmaceuticals I cant .
I used to have a boss years ago who brought two dogs to work and used to ask the workers to clean up after any accidents ( cheek)

I used to and still do take my dog to work, when i'm not working from home. We have our own business and where our depot used to be there was a big field and when the drivers came in some of them used to take the dogs for a run in the field. They loved it. I only work part time now so if i'm in for more than 2 or 3 hours i'll take Jess with me. We get a pup soon:D so i won't be in work much then, i'll work from home, but when i do go i'll just pop them in the car and take them with me.

My Dad is a manager at a large cash and carry, he takes his malamute,Murphy, to work sometimes.Murphy just lies by the desk and there is a large area of land well fenced for him to have happy half hours. I wish I could take Taiko to work, but even if they changed the company rules (children aren't allowed beyond reception let alone dogs!)he would be jumping all over the place wooing like the missing link :D

I work for my self I do market trading and I buy and sell property/cars/domestic appliances/and just about anything that can be. I take my dogs to the auctions and markets with me. They love it. Loads of people and new smells etc.
