Hi all would like some advice I have a large breed she's 66 days pregnant was due yesterday woke up this morning and her temperature was 37.1 and has been like that all day she has not eaten a thing and is constantly weeing and pooing so I guess she's clearing her self out and she hasn't come out of her welping box unless it's to go outside to do her business I'm guessing she's in the first stage off labour is that correct she seems really calm and can see pups move about

She may well be starting to whelp...never bothered with temperatures ourselves so cant help there.

If she is 66 days then she was due 3 days ago.  Is this common in your breed?  I would never allow a bitch to go over 63 days without seeking advice from a vet although your breed may be different, if you are unsure have a chat with her breeder or the stud dog owner.

She was due yesterday from her 2nd tie the 63rd day was her first tie and they can have them on the 69 day I checked with the vet and the breeder

Has the breeder had a live litter born after 69 days? Just asking because far too many vets say it's fine up to day 70, but I don't know of any litter born alive after day 67. Be interested to hear other opinions -what's the latest anyone has had live pups? (For me it's 65 days but both my breeds are known to be early.) Hopefully in your case she took from the second mating. Smaller litters are also often born later than large ones.

Yea I reackon she's took after the 2nd mating she's in the first stage of labour so fingers crossed it's not long

67 for me too, counting from first mating of multiple matings.

With my breed, and it is relevant, I'd never let them go to 66 days from the first mating without at the very least, having my vet take a look.   Two days over and it's off to my vet.   Mine tended to go into secondary inertia - start and then not progress.  And for every day they just 'sit', growing, the more likely the need for a C.Section.   With a small litter they can 'sit' too.

I didn't set much score by temperature taking.

I'm with Goldenmum and MamaBas, I would want my bitch checked by a vet.  And I set very little store on vet opinions regarding normal whelping.  Yes, they're expert at C-sections.  They are not experts at breeding.  By a long chalk.  I delivered a litter in front of a vet who told me it was the first time she had seen pups born.
