- By guest [gb] Date 19.02.03 18:52 UTC
Hi, was reading a thread about peoples top mal's,
just wondering what peoples top flatcoats are! i have 3, and i would say mine are the best!!!!!
however i have admired:
Blackcap,
Riversflight Meig; BTW wasnt she BOB at crufts one year?!??
Stroan,
Dream Maker,
And i think i have the name right Shirdale Black Magic!
Just wondered what others thought!

Joan Chester-Perks Tonggreen Sparrowboy, Barbara Harkins Larksdown Quartz at Fenstorm and one you will not have heard of Kenkew Mistress of Foxpath. The latter my all time number one!

John, Would that be Lucy? :)
- By John [gb] Date 20.02.03 19:04 UTC
It would indeed be Lucy. She was a wonderful example of the breed!

Larksdown Quartz at Fenstorm was the mighty Star. A terrific character, good worker and his looks were not to be sneezed at.

Sparrow Boy, there is almost no good Flatcoat without him in the background.

Trouble is there are and have been some wonderful dogs and it is very difficult to work it down to just a few.

Everyone loved Kenjo Black Mark, but for me I prefered Kenjo Black Orchid!

Belsud Will or the Wisp was another of my favourites.

I'll stop now or I'll be on this thread all night!

Regards, John

The best flatcoats are always the ones you have yourself - anyhow mine are!!! :-) :-) :-)

Jo and the Casblaidd Flatcoats - all 7 of them on the settee
- By Montys Mum [gb] Date 21.02.03 11:34 UTC
That's exactly what I would say, Jo! :) :)

I suppose John has a big disadvantage there. I don't think The Flower's feathers are quite long enough or dark enough for her to take top honours, so he has to look at other peoples dogs! :D :D :D ...Or get a flatcoat, of course! :D

Best wishes, Monty's Mum
