My dog is pregnant.  She is 62 days .   She is eating well.   Drinking.  Panting lots but seems to be no sign of contractions or a show.    How long should I leave her before I take her to the vets.    I'm sleeping downstairs by her welling box which she has been laid in constantly today.    I'm just getting really stressed about the whole situation at the moment and just want it all over so I know that everything is ok.   Any advice would be appreciated.    Thanks.

Each situation is individual but I didn't let mine go over by 2 days without involving my vet.   Bearing in mind for each day, the puppies are getting bigger, perhaps making a C.Section more likely to be needed.   If you take her to your vet, have somebody with you and take your whelping gear, a box with a warm pad and covers in it as so often a car trip gets things moving.   Be prepared to pull over!
