Hi, is he just "marking" the settee etc, - just a little squirt(!) - or is it a full blown long wee? Our young dog Jimmy used to do this marking every now and again until I got so fed up with it he was confined to the kitchen for a week or so. Every day he was allowed in the living room with us in the evening, if he lifted his leg he was squawked at, let out, and then put back in the kitchen. It only took 4 or 5 days and he stopped doing it altogether. He started this at about 9 months too, I think maybe it was because he was becoming "a man" and was letting us all know!!
He is nearly 2 now and the only relapse we had was a few weeks ago we had a friend to stay with her 3 bitches. As soon as they had gone he went round squirting here and there til he was satisfied the place smelt like home again!! Little darlings aren't they - I'm just glad hubby was at work and didn't notice!! If it is always the same places you could spray something on the places he wees, I dont know if bitter spray would work, perhaps someone can suggest something that wouldn't damage the furnishings.
