Wont make the post long and complicated for what it is, but towards the end 2014 my bitch and her kennel mate accidentally mated by the side of the garage when I was out and left the reigns to somebody else! (eye-roll) Her mate was not a suitable suitor for her in this case so I opted for Alazin. in April 2015 she had a season, a little sooner than normal, presuming the mismate injection was responsible for that. She is now late by about 8 weeks. This time I am mating her, she is toy breed and 3 and a half years old, I don't want to push on any longer for a first litter. I think I am just looking for any reassurances & Success stories AFTER the Alizin injection. So please, if you can contribute here, I would love to know the good, bad & the ugly. Thanks in advance

I have used Alizin and would say that I had no problems at all. I had the bitch spayed afterwards.
When you mention mating this bitch, would this be a first litter? Because in my toy breed that would be far, far too late for a first. I like a bitch to have whelped before 2 years old. (I then have bitches spayed before 4 years old.) You may well be experienced, I'm just mentioning the dangers of late first litters for the benefit of anyone looking for information. Not everyone realises that breeding rules are totally different than, say, comparing to Lab breeding.
Thanks, yes this will be her first and probably only litter, as a section will likely result given her age, she is a decent sized girl so stranger things have happened. It's a combination I am desperate to try, wish I had done it sooner, like yourself I usually whelp my girls around 2 years of age, not without their complications, inertia, stuck & dead breeches, sections and so on.
