Topic Dog Boards / General / Will we ever stop learning ....?
- By compassion Date 15.12.16 09:13 UTC
I am as old as the hills and I have had dogs since I can remember, but do I know everything ....? No I don't (nowhere near).

Reading this Forum everyday, even reading back through old Topics I am amazed by how much I am still learning, thanks to all the many great posters on here.

My question to members is this, when it comes to 'The Canine' will we ever stop learning ....?
- By furriefriends Date 15.12.16 09:20 UTC
I hope not I am sure we have miles to go if full knowledge can ever be achieved

No but you get to the point where you start to forget what you know.

That's probably as unlikely as managing to breed the perfect example of our breeds

Impossible  as so much more is being discovered.

I haven't stopped learning but I do seem to have trouble remembering!

I hope not, as that would mean we are not listening to them anymore. The more we learn the more our relationship with dogs develops the more there is to discover

Fantastic, you are in such good company.

I've had many, many years of canine experience, and guess I've been on CD for around 10 years.  Do you know who I have learned humungous amounts from?

Brainless:cool:

She has a brain like a sponge, I don't know how she retains so much information.  But she does, and I am sure that I'm not the only one who will say this.

It's great to be in the company of others who are just as interested in dogs as I am.

We all have our own areas of expertise and knowledge - that is what ChampDogs is all about.

I have absolutely no intention ever of breeding a litter but I love reading and learning about breeding from the experienced breeders on here. Although the breeder of my next dog will be in for a right old grilling as a consequence

JeanSW another thumbs up for Brainless her posts are always little gems to read

I agree, always a pleasure to read her posts along with others, and I feel everyone has something to contribute, which is what helps make this forum so interesting (reading all the various opinions) and long may it continue.

Don't know about the brain,  everyone in family says I am a mine of useless information.  The poor body resembles a sponge LOL

Nice that your so humble and I like your sense of humour, but in all honesty you have helped make this forum a mine of 'useful information' which I would imagine has been appreciated and very beneficial for everyone. Credit where its due 'Thank You'.

Seconded by me. Barbara's advice has always been objective and sympathetic but never preachy.
