I would not be waiting that long, I would be getting them pups out.

It is amazing, how much a pup will grow every day inside, in the lead up to due date & therefore past aswell..........

That what I was thinking as well. How much growth they will do and if she will even be able to give birth to them. I made a bed in her wimping room to be next to her last week. Tonight as I watch her I can see pups moving around in her tummy. Normally can't see for her coat is black. But I gave her a dawn bath do to scratching a lot. Since bath she snoring and sleeping well. Her room is very warm. Plus she has blankets to lay on and cover up with. Tomorrow I think we may just go into vet so they can look at her. I'm really worried about her being over due. Vet doesn't seem worried being they seen her wed. Last week and friday before that. We vet and I have been communicating daily as I've been letting know progress of each day.

As I've said before, with mine I didn't let them go over the due date, counting from the first mating (even if conception doesn't take place immediately) by more than 2 days.   There is a point at which those puppies need to come out.   So at the very least I'd be seeing my vet today - after all they keep growing making a natural whelping less likely to be possible and a C.Section more likely to be needed.

With small litters (numbers) they can just sit - and grow.

I've known vets not be worried (not my own because if I suggest it's to go in, they usually do!!) - and half the litter or more, be lost!!!    And btw, it's when the temperature goes down, and stays down, that usually means whelping should start within 48 hours.   Not that I set much score by the temperature readings but if it flucturates, up and down, whelping won't be about to begin.

How many matings did you do? if just the one and it's 66 days I would be at the vets with her wanting a scan to see what is going on.

She mated on 9/4 about 6:36:pm and again on 9/5 12:09 am.  With her male mate live in. Yes been in touch daily with vet she stopped panting few days ago. Yet today seems like it's going to be that day. She is panting again. This time scratching floor and found her in make shift bed I made for me to be close to her. Her demeanor seems as if in labor today. Give her few hours see were this goes. Hopefully can Do this on her own. If not she will be at vet. Can't tell if water broke or pee vinyl is stone color. She is uncomfortable staying in one spot.

I had a lovely litter born naturally on day 68 from the first mating (day 66 from the second). Up until 12 hours before the textbook birth they were all very active and there was no obvious medical need to intervene. We can only assume she was a late ovulator so hadn't conceived as soon as we thought.

I'm really hoping she does have today cause worried that may cause issues if don't. But medically doesn't seem to have any issues. Maybe it's me be anxious to see them and know they are ok.

I've had puppies from day 68 first mating 66 second.....everything was normal at the delivery but it was a small litter for the breed.

Also with a different bitch days 61 or 59 with an even smaller litter!

Excellent. Nature usually knows best. They say only 20% of human babies are born on their official due date. There's no reason to assume animals will be any different,
