I was on the phone last night talking to yet another neo owner/breeder (the neo world will be sick of me soon lol) Anyway she advised me to put kylie on omega fish oil to help her skin.
So today off I went to buy some while I was in Health shop My son told the counter asst we were looking for doggie tablets she obviously told him they didn't sell doggie tablets lol. So then I had to argue with my four year old son it was ok to give kylie these tablets, but then when i tried to buy them the counter asst said she couldn't sell them as they are for human consumption only and told me to go to my vets! I explained that is was ok t give them to my dog but she was addamant(sp) and refused point blank to sell them to me. I had a word with another asst and she explained it was her first day! So I got them eventually

maybe thats a good thing in a way though because if she truly believed they may have harmed your dog at least she stuck by her principles and wasnt just after the cash .
I know its annoying with the fact that YOU knew they were ok but if you had been a novice owner ( so to speak) and they really would have caused harm then i think its good she refused .
I'm probably writing this all wrong - but do you get what I'm TRYING to say ??

Understand what you are saying but at the time I was like (look are you going to sell me these or what?) I think what made it worse that my son (unaware of what was right or wrong) was agreeing with her in the end she must have thought I was the bonkers one.

I give Hudson tuna twice a week , the sort that is canned in oil...I remembered reading somewhere that tuna is rich in Omega oil ..is this in fact true or am I just spoiling the rotten hound?

:D

Hi All
As you all know from my post on skin disorders kylie's skin was quite bad.
Well after using omega fish oil for only a short time we have had a fantastic result. Kylie's skin is looking really healthy and fur growth has really come on well. I have only been giving fish oil since friday and the effects have amazed me, the fur had started coming back but not like it has this past few days.

Thanks to everybody who has given advice and support and a big hug and thank you to all on champdogs.

Alison :-)

Glad to hear that it's working for you Alison :)
I had the same sort of result with Evening Primrose Oil with my late bitch (till I discovered Nutro).
