So I have been weighing these puppies twice a day, and could see for a few days now that some of these babies were not going to make the 100% weight gain preferred by day 10. Our best gain today on day 10 is 98%, then we have 2 around 80-85%, yet 2 are only at 60-65%. They are all gaining. Is this ok, smaller puppies just following there own growth? They are content and I have been sticking them on the back teats every time I go up. Mums a bit fed up now and keeps leaving them so been up every hour in the day and 2 hours through the night.

Unless we are talking small breed born small don't  worry about doubling weight.

My breed very similar size, often 12 -14 oz in my litters ( 10-12 considered average ), I'm happy if mine have gained 5-7 ounces in firs week and half a pound to 12 ounces by day 10.  From then I'd expect pups to be on 2 lb mark at two weeks, close on 3 pounds by three, and then be putting on more than a pound a week after rising to 2 pounds a week by 8 weeks.

I expect my pups to be 9- 11 pounds by 8 weeks, though some have been more, though this seems to have little bearing on eventual size.
