Topic Dog Boards / Breeding / Panacur 10% liquid wormer

Hi guys, my girls pups are 4 days old. I've noticed this morning that mum has worms. Spoke with vet who recommended Panacur 10% liquid. He didn't sound to confidant so I'm asking for anyone else's experience in this as I'm concerned about giving mum anything with such young pups? Anyone used Panacur on mum with 4 day olds before?

As it's licencedbfor use daily in last three weeks of pregnancy, to three days post whelping, so perfectly OK.

I assume you did not use it in the last weeks of pregnancy, as the bitch would have been worm free and pups would not have had them passed on ( or less than 2%).

So you need to give Mum 1ml per kilo body weight as one dose. SO 20ml for a 20kg bitch.

You will drfinately need to worm the pups at two weeks. 1/2ml per kg of their weight every day for 3 days.

I use it as instructed in pregnancy so should be perfectly fine now.
My bet considers it a very mild wormer but I have always used it and never had a problem.
