I don't want to but it looks like I,m going to have to do it this year.........put my dogs into kennels while I go on holiday( at first just a weekend away.......but come August the dreaded Week abroad).
Since I have had my Muts I have only left them for a long weekend and they stayed with familly.
They are both active working dogs both 3 years old ,one Springer and one GSP......they are not naughty just very lively.
This time no one in my familly can look after them and so I have had to think about kennels.
I live in Birmingham and wonder if anyone can recommend a good Boarding kennel......I'm not worried about prices, I just don't want them locked in a pound for 7 days....like I said they are both very active dogs and the GSP is very much my dog, she is very close to me.
I need a kennels were they can guarantee that the dogs will be excercised every day.

There's a fantastic one down here in Dorset, but probably too far for you to travel.

Jude, where in Hants do you live? I am in NE Hants and use a kennels between Farnham and Guildford which my dog loves! If you like, e-mail me and I'll give you more details.

Ask your friends who they use, personal recommendation is always the best way to go, you could also ask your vet.

Hi Craig...

I once used the Beoley Kennels in Redditch for my Border Collie. They were very good. I was away for 17 days, when I came back I was so happy with the way my dog had been looked after I vowed that if I ever went away again thats where my dogs would go.....but then I moved to Wales :D

Here's the address and phone Number.

Olwyn and David Moxon

Hope this is of some help.
