I am looking around to add some new blood to our lines and have come across an advert for puppies on here that are obviously being missold. On the assumption that it isn't a completely fake advert-i don't think it is-what do you think I should do about it? The advert claims various health test results on the parents but when you search on the KC website, the sire is only just a year old and the health tests are dated from 2014 and 2015! I cannot even find the bitch on the KC website however I have had it play up before and refuse to recognise a name so it may be just that. It drives me crackers that responsible breeders have registered parents, do the tests correctly and sell pups honestly and then you get people like this who take the ****, still charge quality prices but are not being honest about health tests etc. On the assumption they are being sold with KC papers the health tests will be evident (or absent!) on these!
Anyway-is there a way to report the advert or do I just move on and ignore it?

From time to time a breeder will add a litter and for whatever reason, they include incorrect details for the sire (or dam). In the case you refer to, the sires 'sire' was credited with the litter and not his son. This in turn meant that the grandsires health test results were included and not those of the actual sire. With regards to the dams details - it only works if you have the dogs correct and full name. The bitch you refer to is clearly listed on the KC database. Finally, we verify all health test results and nothing appears 'officially' on any dogs page that has not been checked by us. In this case, the dogs results were correct FOR THE GRANDSIRE. Unfortunately, the grandsire was not the sire of the litter! Humans do make errors from time to time - it does not mean that they set out to mislead anyone. It just means that 'puppy brain' kicked in. We appreciate it that people contact us when they spot something amiss. It allows us to investigate and put the matter right, so thank you for highlighting the error to us.
