Topic Dog Boards / Breeding / Good book on how to breed?

Hi. I am new to this and want to buy a good all round book about how to breed from my bitch.
I have 18 months to plan but want to know in advance what to expect.
She has passed all her puppy health tests and will of course have her hips done as soon as she is old enough .

Not a book I have myself but many on here recommend The Book of the Bitch....I know a friend of mine got it & said it was good.

You could also try a breed specific one.

I have most books available today.  But still haven't found a book that can beat the one I used when I first bred back in the 70's.  For a long while you couldn't get it as it was sold out.  I understand that it has been updated and is available on amazon.

Defernatly the book of the bitch.
I got it when I first got me girl mainly as a refresher on seasons (I had not planned to getting a female) later on when we were thinking of breeding I also pinched two more books from my friend, breeding dogs for dummies and another one I can't rember the title but to be honist all the info that was in those two books were in the book of the bitch and the book of the bitch had extra info and diagrams for stuff those two books didn't have.
