Massive oops, yesterday I thought a certain someone was two people since they were dual posting from Turkey and the UK.

Just noticed a member who I thought lived in the Channel Islands is now in Hungary and another member in Hungary on the Calais page.

I have just updated my profile info. which was actually blank!!    Obviously I've put United Kingdom for geographic location.    We'll see if this is a glitch, and whether it's corrected

It's automatically generated by the site using your IP address.  Mobile providers and even some broadband companies use servers all over the world, so you can end up with an incorrect flag.  This is a very old forum format by modern standards, the modern ones have more sophisticated IP verification.

I've not been able to get onto forum since Monday, done nothing different I could get into Champdogs just not the forum. Tried as usual this morning and got in straight away. Weird.

How can I talk to Admin. about getting this corrected?    Nothing against being seen as American but I'd much prefer to have the British flag showing - again.

I've found the flag system very accurate. I'm in Hungary a lot of the time and when there my posts have the Hungarian flag .I have more time to post when there. Over Easter I was in Moldova and Ukraine and ditto -appropriate flags above my posts . Just returned to UK so good old Union Jack should be waving above this post
