Just wanting a little advise on a very distressing very sensitive subject please. Has anybody got any experience with the alizin (mismate) injection? My princess is booked to have the injections and I'd just like to know what to expect after she's had them. Has anybody ever had any adverse affects. I've done a lot of research but all I find are horror stories :(

Used it with no problems whatsoever. Twice as it happens. The first bitch was mated on the next season and had a healthy litter, the second bitch was spayed a few months later.

With mismate injections most problems we're related to the old delvesteron. Alizin is very efficient but can be tender at injection site.  It is best given after the season has finished. Done later in pregnancy is less pleasant as it will cause expulsion of fetal matter rather than absorption. Cramping discomfort would occur. I have known several people use it just after end of season with no noticeabke effects or problems for the bitch.

A friend needed to use it. The bitch didn't have any side effects from it and came back into season when she was ment to. Although she was carrying a very big litter and it was given later on nearer the end of the time you can use it. The vet told her in her case it may not cause all to be readsorbed and she may still pass something. Her bitch whelped one stillborn puppy the rest were reabsorbed
This was due to having it done later on rather than sooner.

One of my bitches was mated (unplanned) and I was worried sick.  I spoke to Goldmali and went ahead with the Alizin injection a couple of days after the mismate.  And a second jab two days later.  I was a million per cent sure that there would be no more mistakes, but I understand that some people can't watch their bitch all the time.

My girl went on to have a normal season and I had her spayed 3 months later.  Best decision I ever made.  Not one single problem with my girl and I am so glad that I asked someone with experience of Alizin.

Blahblahblah  Go ahead, there are no horror stories from me.  Although I'm glad it didn't happen before Alizin became available.

I had the mis mate jab on my bitch when she was mated unexpectedly with my boy. At the time didn't want her having pups as was campaigning her.  She was 16 months. She's now 5 and has never had a proper season since. I'd never have it done again.  But I suppose all dogs are different. Some people I know have never had problems

But was it Alizin?

Delvesteron (which can cause issues). Is the one that was given straight away and basically disrupted the season.

Alizin works differently, which is why it's normally given at the end of a season, and can be given right up to 6 weeks after mating, to terminate a pregnancy.
