It says in various places that I should cut puppy nails at 1wk and probably every week, so it's comfy for mum when they nurse.

I've bought a tiny pair of scissors intended for cutting guinea pig and hamster nails...

But their nails still look so tiny and miniscule, I'm worried I'll hurt them or cut too much - any tips on this one??

Human nail clippers and just take the hook off.

Always used people clippers to do Guinea pig nails and occasionally kitten/cat nails, much easier to hold the foot in one hand and clip with the other - and they work better if you need to swap right to left hand or vice-versa

The nail is soft at this stage so I usually use human nail clippers. You an generally easily see a little hook and I clip this off. Regular clipping prevents the blood vessel growing and thus nails can be kept short without risk of clipping quick later on. If you go a bit deep you may get a tiny spot of blood but it's no big deal.
