Hi, could anyone tell me how far apart you should give Advocate and Drontal? Noticed one worm from our 5 month old GSD and so the Advocate not doing the trick fully !

NO no no you should not give Drontal at same time as Advocate is a vermifuge also, and you'd be doubling up.

Thanks for the reply but I understand not to give together. My question was how far apart as Advocate does not cover all worms.

I do not use Drontal I use Milbemax... If you use Drontal first then leave 48 hours before advocate ..If use Advocate first then leave 2 weeks before giving drontal...
I find Milbemax easier...

My Vet suggested using alternate months unless you are in a VERY high risk area for lungworm

It is really important to emphasise that Milbemax is NOT to be used on some breeds, it would be dangerous to assume that Milbemax is safe for all breeds.
