I want to wash our dogs bedding in our washing machine. Is there anything I can buy to put the bedding in to stop the hairs coming off in my washing machine and tumble dryer. I bought a 2nd hand cot duvet cover that has buttons to stop the duvet from falling out but it doesn't stop the hairs from coming out. I vacuum and try to get as much hairs off as possible before washing but I still get hairs left in the machines. Can anyone help please?

I discovered these bags a couple of years back and would not be without one now! I only wish I had found something similar years ago!

I bought a bag supposed to be used for horse rugs, although I would have thought it would be a pony sized rug tbh. However it works really well and does exactly what I want - keeping dog hair out of the washing machines filter. Got mine off Amazon

Being a cheapskate, and having a small breed, I have always used my oddment pillowcases for this. They do need to be fairly closely woven ones, and sealed with a sturdy elastic band.

Equine washbags for me too and tumble drying takes most hairs off the beds afterwards

I just wash and then send the machine on a short cycle empty to wash the machine.
